Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine White Coat Ceremony Class of 2019

So on October 24, 2015 I was lucky enough to celebrate my son Alex's White Coat Ceremony. This blog post could be title "A mother's sob story" as I cried my EYES out!! It was an amazing ceremony with all the Pomp and Circumstance you could ever imagine! It was held at Twichell Auditorium at Converse College - beautiful venue!
What a great group of future doctors!

Here are a few pix for your viewing enjoyment!

Afterwards there was a great picnic back at the school! So proud of this great group -they are our future and it is looking bright!

Congrats to one and ALL!

A quick trip to Spartanburg for some mama lovin'

So y'all know I LOVE to visit this town right? It has everything going for it PLUS the added bonus of my baby boy living there while attending VCOM med school! YEAH!
Went for a quick trip last week for some mama items: laundry, sewing, groceries, cleaning, etc. (and an occasional hug!) and snagged a few pix for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!

Scrubs after a midnight shift of studying!

I do a LOT of walking while I am there -here is a glimpse of the neighborhood!

LOVE  meeting him at the Little River Coffee shop on  Main street for a quick caffeine hit and a PB&J snack!

He had to go back for an afternoon of studying but I got to hang out for awhile!

I cannot say enough about this place -the weather is perfect, the people are as nice as can be and the sunsets are beautiful!

Working on the porch is also an added bonus!

I leave a little piece my heart here every time I leave!
See ya in a couple of months Spartanburg! :)

It's Fall Y'all!

Well it's another week of adventure..what can I tell ya? Fall in the Carolina Mountains is just.....well it's Fall Y'all!! I have a few photos from this past week and more to come!

View from our table with friends Mark and Barb from Naples! Had a wonderful lunch/afternoon hanging out at Chops on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee, GA. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time -never get the time to chat and chill in Naples as all 4 of us are self employed and working hard! But give us a while to hang out in the mountains and we are happy!!

In other news I was hard at work again for the wonderful clients I serve!!

And dinner tonight was some amazing wings Dean made for himself -not me as I am a Vegetarian! He is rather enjoying them isn't he? haha!

And more photos from sporting clays with Dean and Alex..finally!!

They are too cute together - I keep score and they just LOVE to beat each other!! LOL!!

This has got Christmas picture written all over it right?? Amicalola Falls is a beautiful place to camp or spend the day - this is the middle Fall which not a lot of people go to - it was stunning!

Final morning at the cabin before we left for Spartanburg. It was so beautiful - view from the loft early in  the am - the mist was coming off the mountains and filling up the valley...hence the name "Misty Mountain Hideaway".

Fall Trip to Georgia and North Carolina October 2015

Started this trip with a stop at Amy's in Tifton, GA. Beautiful spot! I set up shop and got some work done- gotta love it!

Next stop was Stone Mountain - what a great place to chill! We road our bikes (high speed wobbles YIKES!!) and watched an amazing sunset over the lake and overlooking the carving....nice :)

Next morning I attended an important conference call....have I mentioned how much I love my job?? :)

On to the cabin - set up shop again and got some more work done so I could go play!

And then my baby came to visit for a couple of days! Happy mommy!! :) We headed out so the boys could shoot some birds at Etowah Sporting Clays in Dawsonville, GA....I have some amazing shots on Alex's phone and hopefully someday (ahem..hello dear son please send to mom??) I will be posting them. For now this is all I could steal!

How much do you love my pink headphones my sweet hubby bought me? They are awesome! I kept score and it was an absolutely beautiful fall day in Georgia. We headed to Amicalola Falls to camp for the night. Dinner was at the Lodge - can I just say what a spectacular place it is? View was fantastic while eating as well afterwards on the deck!
That crazy child of ours decided he was sleeping in his hammock for the night - 43 degrees? No problem! Bears in the woods..no problem! Campers walking with flashlights in your eyes..problem!! HAHA!
He said he had the best nights sleep he has had in months! I was a little cold and I was in the camper with the heat running!
View from our camper down on his hammock! What a great place to camp! Only 25 spots and each one is set up very well, level, private and convenient to bath house which also has a laundry room and showers! We will definitely be back!
This face at the door to the camper for coffee in the am - LOVE IT!! :)

What a great time we are having this fall in Georgia/North Carolina!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Keepin' it real on the road
