Summer 2016....so much to show you!!

The summer of 2016 has been  amazing so far!!
We started out with a few weeks at the cabin rafting and found Linda the Lamb lady down the street who has free range eggs! SCORE!!! (plus a VERY large but VERY sweet doggie!) Then Alex and Nadine came to visit for 4th of July and we went to a rodeo; a dirt track race and the boys went riding on their bikes!! WOW!! Here are a few photos!!

Then Alex came back a few weeks later for sporting clays and more motorcycles..imagine that!! :) We sure have fun together!!

We visited a really cool Amish community right by Benton, TN that had the neatest store with every vegetable  you can imagine! We bought a case of tomatoes and now have a TON of sauce in the freezer!!  I didn't take any pics inside - didn't think they would appreciate my blog photos but this was a shot out of the window while we had lunch in the parking lot! When Dean asked if they sell chickens they told him yes next Saturday but they are ALIVE!! No thanks dude!

Of course we had to go to Nantahala for lunch and always enjoy stopping at our favorite spot to watch folks fly over the falls - always entertaining!

After a month back in Naples we headed out again for the late summer portion of 2016! This time we took the camper and visited Weeki Wachee and Santa Rosa Beach on the way up the West coast of Florida!

The dunes at Santa Rosa Beach were so beautiful at sunset and Stinky's fish camp did not disappoint for dinner and drinks!

We drove over Lookout Mountain into Chattanooga and the view left us both speechless!

We eventually made it to the 127 Yard sale. If you have never heard of it basically it is a yard sale that starts in Gadsden, Alabama and ends in Addison, Michigan....yes it is THAT long and we enjoyed 200 miles of it over a 3 day period! What an experience!! Every 100 yards Dean would yell "YARD SALE" and whip the truck over to the side of the road!! My dogs are still barking! Some of them are professional sellers but mostly it is just people cleaning out the house and putting stuff on a table in their front yard! What a concept!

We camped at: Cody's Fish Camp (FL); Topsail Preserve (FL); Cloudland Canyon (GA); Falls Creek Falls (TN). They were all awesome. I loved seeing the dunes in the panhandle of Florida....doing recon for a possible family reunion next summer! :) Will keep you posted on updates!

We bought several items and the haggling was the best part (Dean is MUCH better at this than me though-need to work on it)! Next year we want to start where we left off (Crossville, TN) and continue up!! Our motto for the week was
"Not all who wander are lost" and we definitely wandered for a few days!! Was a great trip!

More to follow in the weeks to come but so far this has been a GREAT summer!!

The adventure continues....
