To celebrate Dean's 60th birthday we decided our adventure this summer would be an 18 day trip to Maine! We headed out on July 4th
and stopped with a visit to Alex and Nadine before we headed up!
After leaving Roanoke our first stop was a tour of Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. Was a really cool old mansion and we toured the house and grounds!
That night we stayed at our first Harvest Host spot-Rumbleway Farms in Conowingo, MD! OLD farm (house and barn from early 1800's!) and the owners were really cool! Dean got a grass fed steak from their store and cooked it up for dinner right outside the camper! HAPPY GUY! ;)
Next day we traveled to Rose's Berry Farm in S Glastonbury, CT. Another awesome Harvest Host spot. We had the entire berry farm to ourselves - did some righteous blueberry picking and hung out by the pond and watched the most amazing sunrise while Dean made blueberry oatmeal for me!
Met the owner the next morning and got a lesson in Pickleball - I think this may be my new obsession!! We visited a motorcycle museum the next morning right by the berry farm and then stayed the night at Sunsetview Farm campground!
The next morning was BRIMFIELD antique Show! WOW this place was amazing!
We found: an old sewing machine for legs for Alex's new desk he and D built; coffee grinder for Dean's collection, 5 ft porcelain farmhouse sink for the bunkhouse; old fruit crate sign for the beach house; old white porcelain desk top for cabin! Such great bargains! Was a good day for sure! Brimfield, Mass you rock!
Next stop was Whispering Pines Campground in New Hampshire on the way to Booth Bay...bae finally got his blueberry pancakes LOL. And he finally got a lobster roll in Bath, ME at an awesome waterfront lunch spot! We checked out LL Bean of course. Then Booth Bay Brewery was our campground for a few days. Found it through HH but they had a couple of spots that were full hook up for $32 and in that neck of the woods an amazing price! We toured Booth Bay for several days...hung out in a sweet coffee shop for work in the mornings!

After leaving Booth Bay we visited with good friends, Dick and Joan and had a GREAT dinner with them and friends! Of course they all had lobster! Two Lights park was so beautiful! Driving anywhere around here is truly a post card view! Got some lobster trap buoys for the beach house!
Next stop was Acadia -I cannot say how beautiful this place is...truly one of America's Gems! We were in awe and took a gazillion pics!
Morning sunshine LOL
The next couple of days were spent at Pemaquid Lake campground in ME, then Wolfeboro, NH at our friends Jerome and Theresa's beautiful new home on Lake Winnepesaukee and then in Shapleigh, ME at Bill and Marjie's sweet new/old house on Square Pond! #goodfriendsgoodtimes indeed!!
Pemaquid Lake, ME
Lake Winnepesaukee, Wolfeboro, NH
Square Pond, Shapleigh, ME
Quick stop at Delaware Water Gap campground and we are noticing a trend with truck campers -there were three in a row with us! ;)
Our final adventure was Gettysburg National Park. Neither Dean or I had ever
been here and we were both just blown away. I think we may need to come back here and tour some more - we did the app Auto tour and might get the tour guide next time.
Headed to Roanoke the next day to see Alex and Nadine. The boys put the finishing touches on the desk they made last month together with the old sewing machine for legs we bought at Brimfield! Also worked on Addy's motorcycle. Their house is looking good!
And after a quick visit with Jill to see her new home in NC we are on our way back to the cabin...been an amazing couple of weeks. The camper is our "Tiny House" and we both love it! Ready for the next adventure!! ;)
