Summer of 2017 begins....

June

Georgia Veterans State Park on the way up to NC! Such a nice park - the surrounding area is amazing as we camped right on the water - we didn't get to see Andersonville yet but it's on Dean's list! We looked like the Beverly Hillbillies with the camper, trailer and motorcycle on the front. Old guys were stopping Dean and chatting about his "Rig" LOL...

The kids came to visit for the weekend -such a treat and truly the reason we are here all summer!! Flea Market, Organic farmers market (SO GOOD!)Rafting at Poteete, Rodeo in Blairsville and Blueberry Pancakes for Fathers day...we packed a LOT into a quick weekend and was such a joy to see them! ;0) Happy Fathers day indeed! (and Mama too!)

Nadine is hauling some of the farmers market bounty home!

Love this child....thinking this might make the Christmas card this year!! Miss them both already....

We headed out in the camper to find some waterfalls..went over
to Franklin and stopped for lunch on the way..so nice to have the camper and be able to stop anywhere we want. Never fails -every time we stop Dean gets questions about our sweet little camper!!

 
Stayed at Cullasaja River RV Park. Honey I don't think the camper will fit on this truck.....;)

 This was our favorite spot! So quiet and the water fall in the background made such a nice noise! Very soothing for these Pisces!!

 and found the most amazing falls:
first up was Cullasaja Falls..

Then we found Dry Falls! WOW amazing place! So refreshing!

 

THEN we found where the locals go to hang out under a fall and we laid on a HUGE rock and got some sun.....this girl was in heaven!!! Water was pretty cold but super refreshing after we got hot in the sun!

Next day we went to Bridal Veil Falls....couldn't drive under it due to a rock slide (DOH!) but we got to walk under it!

Lunch at Cornucopia Restaurant in Cashiers completed the trip - I had the Happy Hippie veggie wrap as I am moving into being a Vegan and it was excellent!! Great Trip! Gonna check out the waterfalls over by Brevard on the next adventure!

That's about it for June.....July is gonna be a GREAT month!
